Holly C. Cook
Pet Care Pro Turned Photographer
I've been in the pet world since 1987. In 1994 I founded a professional pet sitting/dog walking company in Michigan. My career as a professional pet sitter/dog walker garnered me several awards over the years. During that time, I enjoyed photography as a hobby. My clients loved the images that I provided for them during my visits.
When we moved to Seattle in 2015, I went back to school to study photography. In 2018 I founded Holly Cook Photography, with my specialty being pets. As I studied and attended workshops, my art began to improve and I then ventured into the world of commercial animal photography.
These days you can find me doing private commissions for clients, commercial work for notable pet businesses and doing photo journalism work for CityDog Magazine, Working Dog Magazine among others.
Most notably, I am a volunteer dog publicist for Seattle Humane and 15% of every private photography assignment is donated to Seattle Humane; 8% of every commercial assignment is donated to Seattle Humane.
My work has been featured in CityDog Magazine, Working Dog Magazine and many social media feeds.
